The aim is to provide secure and user-friendly procedures for initial onboarding. In Austria, the ID Austria forms an important basis for issuing the PID. In Germany, there are also discussions about including alternative procedures to facilitate access to the EUDI wallet. These include, for example, certified identification procedures such as identification at banks, the post office or other trustworthy bodies.
